Finalmente Intel lanza sus nuevos procesadores Sandy Bridge-E, los que toman la punta de rendimiento en el lineamiento de procesadores Intel Core de Segunda Generación y que conforman su nueva plataforma para entusiastas basada esto CPU para socket LGA-2011 más el chipset Intel X79.
Ya no hay mucho más que conocer de estos procesadores, pues sus características y modelos ya se los hemos detallados en las notas respectivas, como por ejemplo controlador de memoria quad-channel, fabricación a 32nm, socket LGA-2011, multiplicadores y divisores totalmente desbloqueados (excepto un modelo) entre otros datos. El único misterio hasta ahora era su rendimiento y de alguna forma sus precios oficiales, datos que ya pueden conocer revisando las distintas reviews del modelo tope Intel Core i7 3960X.
